Hi, I’m James.
It’s always good to know who you’re dealing with, especially when you’re considering a project like a new website, so I thought I’d tell you a little about me and my experience. Feel free to skip it if you get bored!
I started out in web design in 2008. Up until then I’d done a few small jobs for local bands, customising Myspace pages (remember those?!) and things like that. I decided to set up business in a little office just outside of London and things took off pretty quickly.
For about eight years or so, I built websites for loads of clients, large and small. But I always enjoyed the projects where I’d made a real difference most of all. I got a bit of a buzz from helping small businesses go from have very little work to have a long waiting list!
I did some work for some charities too, and eventually I moved into the charity sector full-time working for some military and animal welfare charities (both causes are very close to my heart).
Then Covid-19 happened.
Restrictions changed how we worked and lived, and after a while many of us began to question our priorities. My partner and I decided that we didn’t want to go back to commuting into London anymore. We could take this opportunity to try something totally different and press the reset button on life.
We packed up and left the South East behind. We jacked in the 9-to-5 and 3-bed semi and set off on our travels with our faithful beagle, Buddy. For six months, we travelled around the UK in our self-converted camper van. We saw some stunning places and had an incredible time.
But all good things come to an end, and when it came time to settle down, we found ourselves drawn to Malvern, Worcestershire. And here we are.
Dovetail Digital is a solo venture, so it’ll just be me you deal with. I answer the phone, write the emails, design and build your website and make the coffee. My goal is to make a positive impact for every client I work with. That could be increasing traffic to your site, turning visits into sales or helping you get more enquiries and leads.
Whatever your goal, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to discuss it with you.
